It gives me immense pleasure to present the inaugural edition of Online Open Access Multidisciplinary Journal in Social Science, 'The Banyan Tree Journal'. It is a landmark initiative of Jagat Taran Girls' Degree College and its commitment to fostering academic excellence, critical inquiry and inclusive dialogue in the ever-evolving landscape of the social sciences.

This historic launch held special significance as it coincides with the Golden Jubilee of our College, founded in the memorable year of 1975 the International year of Women. This dual celebration reminds is not only of the visionary foundations laid fifty years ago, but also of our continuing missing to empower minds, especially women, through knowledge and education. The launch of this Journal further reinforces our mission to create inclusive platforms that support critical thinking, original research, and intellectual exchange.

This Journal is designed to encourage the exchange of original ideas, Promote collaborative and cross-disciplinary research, and foster a spirit of inquiry that is essential for academic growth and societal progress. It will contribute meaningfully to the evolving landscape of higher education, providing an accessible platform for seasoned researchers, emerging voices and guest to find solutions to multifaceted challenge we face-be it climate change, issuer of peace and conflict, gender equity, prersing economic issuer and delivering value education.

I congratulate the editorial board, faculty mentors, contributors, and reviewers who have worked with passion and precision to make this vision a reality. I am also thankful to the senior members of Jagat Taran Educational Society for their patronage, support and motivation which have helped to lay a strong foundation for a scholarly endeavor.

Let this Journal guide and inspire us to think, question and create. As Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan has remarked "The true teachers are those who help us to think for ourselves".
