It is with great pride and immense joy that we present to you the inaugural issue of The Banyan Tree Journal published by Jagat Taran Girls’ Degree College, a constituent college of University of Allahabad. This launch marks not just the beginning of a publication, but the birth of a platform dedicated to fostering thoughtful discourse, critical inquiry, and interdisciplinary dialogue across fields of knowledge.

Like the majestic banyan tree - its roots deep, its branches far-reaching - this journal aims to be a symbol of intellectual strength, growth, and connectivity. In many cultures, the banyan tree is a place where minds gather, ideas converge, and stories are passed down. In the same spirit, The Banyan Tree Journal seeks to become a scholarly sanctuary, where established voices meet emerging perspectives, and where academic rigor meets creative exploration.

Our mission is to encourage reflective scholarship that not only enriches academic conversations but also speaks to the pressing questions of our time. We welcome contributions from educators, researchers, and thought leaders who dare to question, analyse, and envision - whether from the domains of humanities, social sciences, education, literature, or interdisciplinary studies.
