1. Department of Education was selected as an Advanced Department under College with Potential for Excellence scheme by U.G.C.
2. A National Seminar on Developing Quality Culture in Higher Education: Innovations and Initiatives (Sponsored by NAAC) organized by the department in the year 2006-07
3. One Week Online National Workshop on ‘e-Learning and e-Content Development for Teachers and Research Scholars’ organized in 2020-21
4. A National Webinar on Transforming the Quality of Higher Education through NEP 2020 organized in 2020-21
5. An Educational Lab is functional in the college consisting of various Psychological Tests

Value Added Programmes

1. Special lectures and workshops organized regularly
   - A special lecture on ‘Learner Autonomy with Special Reference to NEP 2020’ was organized on 8th February 2024. The Resource Person was Prof. Dhananjai Yadav, Head, Department of Education, University of Allahabad.
2. National Education Day is celebrated every year on 11th November
   - Research Paper Presentation by the students is organized on National Education Day every year. In the session 2022-23 the topic of presentation was ‘Digitization of Education Post COVID’.
3. Induction Programme is organized every year in the beginning of the session for B.A. I students of the department
4. Various competitions such as Research Paper presentation, Power Point presentation, Project-work, Essay, Group Discussion etc. are organized
5. Counseling session for students are organized by professional counselors  

Extension Activities

1. An Educational Lab was established in the Department under CPE scheme of UGC
2. A large number of Psychological tests and equipments are available in the lab
3. Psychological tests are administered on the students of all the Departments and counseling (both Group and Individual) is provided to them

Skill oriented Programme

1. Practical demonstration of administration of Psychological Tests (Intelligence and Personality) is done regularly
2. Guidance provided to the students to prepare Power Point Presentation and the use of different tools of educational technology
3. Orientation for preparing  Action Research proposals in the form of Project
4.  Preparation of Question Banks
5. Guidance for Construction and standardization of Psychological/Educational tests
